Latest information on the application and approval process to become a "Regulated Agent" in accordance with the Federal Civil Aviation Authority (LBA) guidelines of January 2007.

The new air security act on the basis of EU Regulation 2320/2002 brought some far-reaching changes with it. Everyone involved with air freight transport is affected by them.

In order to obtain LBA approval to become a regulated agent, a reliability check is prescribed along with other requirements by Art. 7 of the German Aviation Security Act (LuftSiG).

The preliminary applications to become regulated agents (RA) have been submitted. The new regulations came into effect on 01 Feb. 2006 and much has still to be done until final recognition is obtained.
