for Dangerous Goods Officers

Road, Rail and Air

This course provides the knowledge that a dangerous goods officer needs to have in order to apply and implement the relevant regulations.

Target Group:

When a company is involved in the transportation of dangerous goods by rail, road, water or air, then they are obliged to employ a dangerous goods officer
(§ 1 GbV). Our offer is directed at business owners as well as employees at private and public companies who are responsible under the regulations for such cargo and are obliged to appoint a dangerous goods officer. We are also targeting people who want to be employed as a dangerous goods officer according to the GbV.

Class Subjects:

General Section (10 units)
Dangerous goods supervisor regulations, international connections, overview of the organisations and their dangerous goods activities, law for the transportation of dangerous goods, criminal and civil rights liability, other regulations.

Special Section on Road Transport Mode GGVSE / ADR (20 units)
Regulations for the transportation of dangerous goods by road / rail (GGVSE), applicable areas, the people in charge, relevant content of the framework regulations and where it applies, classification, packaging, large packing material (IBC), tanks, containers, registration and labelling, documentation, carrying out the transportation, checklists, other topics.

Special Section on Rail Transport Mode GGVSE / RID (10 units)
Regulations about the internal state and cross-border transportation of dangerous goods by rail (GGSVE/RID), the people in charge, relevant content of the framework regulations and where it applies, classification, packaging, large packing material (IBC), tanks, containers, registration and labelling, documentation, carrying out the transportation, checklists

Special Section on Air Transport Mode IATA / ICAO (10 units)
The course "Dangerous Goods Transport by Air According to the Guidelines of the IATA/ICAO" for the personnel category 3, is recognised as official training for the dangerous goodss officers. The attendance certificate is a prerequisite for enrolling for the examination at a selected IHK, according to the GbV. The training certificate is valid for 5 years, under the GbV rules.

Diploma:

The participants will receive a school certificate if they attend the course regularly. This certificate is a prerequisite for registering for the examination for road and rail carriers at the IHK. Once the exam has been passed, the participant will receive an EG course document (proof of completion) from the IHK. It is valid for 5 years.

If there are enough participants, then the exam can be taken directly after the course. Individual registration and separate exams can be done through the IHK at our premises.

The current dangerous goods regulations for each of the types of carriers form the basis of the course and can also be taken into the exam. The participants are requested to bring their own books to class or to order them when enrolling.
