This course is designed to make your employees more aware of work issues to do with efficiency and legality. The structure of the course is through the module method, and each module can be done individually or in combination with others.

Target Group:

Warehouse administrators, packers, commissioners, consignment staff, and workers in the goods receiving department.

Organisation:

Module 1                Logistics and the Storage Business

Duration:       2 days, maximum 15 participants
The basics of cost-effective negotiating
General and work-related workplace safety regulations
Environmental protection in the warehouse and dispatch
The position of the materials business in the company
Receipt of goods / Dispatch of goods
Goods storage
Storage of hazardous substances
Packing, sending and transport

Module 2                Receipt of Goods

Duration:       2 days, maximum 15 participants
Checking of the accompanying paperwork
Making sure the documents are complete
Comparing the goods and loading equipment with the accompanying paperwork
Checking the goods, packaging and loading equipment by type, quantity and
condition, recognising damage to goods, packaging and loading equipment,
assessing the significance and consequences of the damage done to goods

Module 3                Goods Storage

Duration:       3 days, maximum 15 participants
Criteria for the setting up of warehouses
Assessment of the storage space
Storing of goods according to their condition
Shipping to the given location within the company
Classifying goods according to the given storage classification
Storage regulations for hazardous materials
Classes of storage for hazardous materials
Bans on storing some goods together

Module 4                Dispatching Goods

Duration:       2 days, maximum 15 participants
Checking the commissioned shipment
Noting the date of the shipment
Taking note of the condition of the goods
Ascertaining the storage location
Determining the loading equipment and/or packaging
Choosing the form of transportation
Commissioning the goods in the warehouse
Determining the weight and quantity

Module 5                Packaging

Duration:       2 days, maximum 15 participants
Choice of the transportation packaging
Packing the goods in suitable material
Checking the packaging
Creating units for loads
Packaging regulations for dangerous goods
Licensing and marking of hazardous materials
Packaging groups for hazardous materials
Coding of the packaging for dangerous goods
